"Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength."
-Philippians 4:11-13
This sums up training camp in a nut-shell. We have been put in countless potential situations that could very well happen while out on the field, and have had to trust in every situation that God will provide. I have been stretched and pressed in countless ways and learned how to be content and even joyful in some pretty tough situations. Although training camp isn't over yet, here is a brief glimpse of what the past 5 days have looked like:
Number of times I have cried: at least once a day. usually more.
Number of times I have felt completely full at a meal: 3
Number of different places we have slept: 4
Number of times we have had to go places with our backpacks: once or twice each day.
Number of times I have wished I packed lighter: 30+
Number of times I have been sure that I am in the right place: countless, each day.
Number of times I have felt way to exhausted to worship: 5
Number of times I have pressed on to worship with all I had through the exhaustion: 5
Number of clothes in my bag that don't smell like mildew: 0
Number of times I have showered: 1
Number of people on Immersion team: 19
Number of hours we worshiped the first two days in themselves: 9+
I love this place. I love these people. I don't want to leave. I have learned and grew so much in who I am in the past 5 days than I might have in any other point in my walk with Christ. In all, I feel prepared to change the world. And that is what I am going to do.
Worhsip has been one of the most incredible things there. This is us and the three World Race squads worshiping with Jonathon David Helser.
